“A warm, welcoming place to stay”
June 20, 2016

I have stayed at Bentley Manor many times since Jane & Fred came to Williamsburg and transformed the existing B&B into a warm, welcoming place to stay where you feel like family. Bentley Manor is a place that has something for everyone visiting Williamsburg. It is in a convenient but quiet location that is walking distance “read more

“A Williamsburg Treasure”
May 26, 2016

When we turned the corner and saw Bentley Manor, we knew we were home. We were greeted by Jane and Fred and immediately felt we knew this very special couple for years. The Capt. John Smith suite was our home for the next few nights. The room and adjoining bathroom was well appointed and cozy .(Capt. John behaved himself while we slept in his room.) In the morning we were greeted by Fred with a cup of coffee and…”read more

I was overjoyed with our visit to Bentley Manor. It’s beautifully decorated and immaculately kept. Our innkeepers, Fred and Jane are warm, welcoming, and made us feel like old friends visiting for a few days. The breakfast was fantastic, ask Jane about the Brioche French Toast…”read more

“Great stay, great hosts, great location”

Fortunately, we were able to snag the last available room at Bentley Manor Inn for Colonial Williamsburg’s Christmas Illumination weekend. We had chosen this inn based on reviews in TripAdvisor and were not disappointed. Fred and Jane were most gracious to us throughout our stay, our room was very comfortable (didn’t want to get out of bed in the morning!), breakfasts were delicious, the hosts and other guests were…”read more

“Best way to spend our Anniversary”
September 17, 2013

This was the first B&B my wife and I had ever visited. It was really easy to reserve our rooms online, and I was able to reach the owner via phone when we found out we were going to be about an hour late.
We arrived and the owner (Fred) gave us a brief tour of the house and its history. He gave us some advice about events that were going on in Williamsburg that weekend, and offered us discount tickets to Colonial Williamsburg.
Honestly, it was almost a shame that there was so much to do in Williamsburg. We only spent a few of the daylight hours at the Bentley, but my wife and I were very happy to get “home” every night. Breakfast was delicious (Thanks Jane!) every morning, and the conversations…”read more

“Best in Williamsburg…Maybe Best Anywhere!”
March 28, 2012

“We always try to opt for small pensions and B&Bs when traveling in the U.S., Europe, and Canada. Prior to our recent three-day visit over Spring Break, our top B&B anywhere could be found in Toronto. However, I must now amend my short list of favorites and move Bentley Manor Inn to the top position…”read

“We stayed in the GOVERNOR BERKELEY ROOM with a new large batthroom. Very nice. Bentley Manor is only a short walk – 10 minutes – to Colonial Williamsburg right next to the College of William and Mary. It’s off the main road which makes it a bit quieter, too. The Innkeepers, Fred and Jane are terrific. They made us feel… ” read more
